Exploring different cultures in the world
My exchange in Japan is a memorable experience to me, not only did I have first access to the academic world, but also I made friends with my dear Japanese lab members and learned their unique culture.

Reading books
My fascination of human cognition was intrigued by several excellent books(GEB, the Quest for Consciousness, David Marr's book on vision and etc) How could human beings be aware of the object world and themselves with such a little brain? How could human brain achieve so many amazing functions? How does objective information flow transform into our subjective experience? Motivated by these questions, I entered the field of cognitive science. I believe that this question will be answered through the joint efforts of cognitive psychologists, neuroscientists, computer scientists.
